Recalculation in progress … ATAMI Wilma feeds the plants more frequently and with a small amount of water, providing the plants with more nutrients than manual watering.
A single daily watering cannot provide the plant with the ideal level of nutrients and oxygen ratio needed for optimal growth, as water blocks oxygen from the roots. In the Wilma hydroponic system, plants grow with small and frequent feedings, so they are able to absorb more water and nutrients, and are therefore never over- or under-watered.Because of the frequent watering, it is recommended to use clay pebbles, which allow much more air to enter the roots than any other growing medium. More oxygen guarantees higher yields.
A well-regulated watering period is important for plants in active hydroponic systems, while enjoying the simplicity and flexibility of pot plants.
Golden rules:- Use the correct drip for the growing medium.
- When your plants are growing in clay pebbles, use the dropper. (black)
- For other media - soil, coco, peat cubes - use the arrow dropper. (blue)
In this recirculating hydroponic system, you only have to fill the nutrient or fertiliser into the nutrient tank and the rest is done by Wilma. The water pump in the nutrient tank irrigates the plants when the timer is running (ON) at the preset times.Unused nutrients return to the nutrient tank and become reusable, making it one of the most economical automatic watering systems. For absorbent media such as soil, coco or rock wool, use the tile filter available on Wilma systems to reduce the risk of clogging.
Clean the system every 2 weeks to prevent clogging and drip infections.
