Karel Schelfhout has been a leading figure in the world of horticulture for more than 30 years. He played a leading role in the spread of high-tech gardening techniques initially used in the Netherlands, before opting for organic gardening.

Michiel Panhuysen, a journalist whose articles are published in several languages, specialises in organic farming and urban gardening.
