Membranes characterised by the abbreviation HQ+ (High Quality Plus) represent the latest generation of osmotic membranes synthesising all the technological innovations of recent years.
Aquili HQ+ 75 GLD membrane
At 45 PSI (~ 3 Bar)Water recovery 30%Salt retention 99%
At 60 PSI (~ 4 Bar)Water recovery 40%98% salt retention
At 75 PSI (~ 5 Bar)Water recovery 50%97% salt retention
The minimum pressure for the membrane to develop its performance is 2.5 - 3.0 bar - Below this the osmotic water is of very good quality, but the output is similar to that of a standard membrane.
The maximum operating pressure is 5.0 bar - the pressure normally developed by a booster pump - Above this pressure, the calibration of the membrane must be changed to avoid malfunctions or collapse of the membrane.
Membrane tested at 250 ppm = 390 microsiemens = 14 d°KH of salts in solution.
25° temperature
pH 6.5 - 7.0
Version with valve for flushing the membrane for longer product life.
Suitable for removing salts, trace elements and metals from tap water. The advantage of purer water is the possibility of increasing fertiliser doses without the risk of exceeding the ideal EC threshold for the crop.
Works with water pressure without consumption of electricity.
Supplied with fittings for connection to the water mains.
Flow rate 190 l per day.
- These membranes have a high salt retention rate; they can, in fact, retain up to 99% of dissolved salts. These values, until recently, were only achieved by the best industrial membranes with very high costs and operating pressures of 10 - 15 bar.
- In addition, the special composition of the membrane structure allows more osmotic water to be withdrawn and less waste while maintaining very high water quality. With normal membranes, 15% to 20% of the water entering the membrane can be withdrawn while 80% to 85% goes to waste. HQ+ membranes, on the other hand, allow 30% to 50% of the total water to be recovered.
