Replacement UVB lamp consists of two UVB Plus brackets from SolarSystems.
The SolarSystem UVB from California Lightworks uses 25 watts per module and features the latest generation T5 fluorescent UVB bulb.
Overexposure to UVB light can be dangerous for plants, but small amounts of UVB light can have beneficial effects. UVB light improves plant growth, enhances essential oils and aromas, and chemical profiles. Use caution not to expose eyes or skin to UVB light!
SolarSystem UVB light can be combined with all our LED modules to provide the most powerful end product. For the best possible quality, use UVB together with SolarSystem 550 or Solarsystem 1100 in the last two or three weeks of the flowering phase for about 3-4 hours a day, it is advisable to use UVB during the middle of the day.
Characteristics:
- Additional T5 UV-B 25 watt fluorescent lamp (285-315 nm)
- Improves resin development and potency in plants
(an increase of 20-30% is possible with 2 units per m²) - Daisy chain up to 10 lights from one ballast.
- Used during the last 2-3 weeks of flowering for 3-4 hours a day
WARNING:
Exposure to UVB light can damage eyes or skin! Turn off the light before entering the room. Caution: risk of electric shock. Use in dry places. Do not use on a dimmer circuit. Use only the SolarSystem T5 UVB bulb

Spectrum
UVB light is harmful to your eyes, so we recommend you wear Method Seven glasses to protect your eyes. In addition to protection, the glasses filter the light into normal daylight colours, which allows you to see the normal green colour of the plant. Also be very careful not to expose your skin to UVB light.
Benefits
Plants perceive UV light as damaging to DNA, so plants start to repair DNA by creating enzymes. The plant creates an extra layer to protect itself that can be compared to using sunscreen.
Studies show that UV light at 385 nm promotes the accumulation of phenolic compounds, enhances the antioxidant activity of plant extracts, but has no significant effect on growth processes. UVB has also been shown toraise the chemical profile of some plants.
Please be aware that UVB light can damage the skin and eyes. It is therefore very important to turn the light off before entering the grow room. Only use this light in dry places, otherwise you risk an electric shock. Do not use this light on a dimmer circuit and only use the SolarSystem T5 UVA bulb. Always use a Method Seven to protect your eyes.
