The DIY Air-Pot® Roll system is primarily intended for outdoor use. The Roll is a rectangular sheet for Air-Pot walls. There are no bases available for this dimension. DIY walls are modular, so you can make Air-Pots of any size you want.
The Air-Pot® is a recyclable and reusable plastic container that actively improves the quality of the root systems of plants. This revolutionary approach to containerizing plants and trees produces fabulous spiralless root systems that are impossible to develop into any other container available. Made from UK recycled HDPE, Air-Pot® has a circular shape with a perforated sidewall. There are no flat surfaces due to the inward and outward pointed cones, which eliminates any possibility of starting the spiraling process and greatly increases growth.
The Air-Pot container is only part of a total growing system. To reap all the potential benefits it is essential to use the correct composting and irrigation regime.
Lack of aeration and poor drainage are big problems when growing in traditional containers. However, there are no such problems when using the Air-Pot system. Air Pot experts have designed and tested different compost mixes with customers around the world, adapting the mix to incorporate available local components.
The same consideration should be given to irrigation and fertilizer delivery. The increased growth rate and the much greater number of new white-tipped roots mean that cultivated plants require more moisture and nutrients. Handling this question is critical to the success of the system.
