A differenza delle coltivazioni tradizionali in terra, nelle colture idroponiche le piante sono posizionate in un substrato inerte e assorbono i nutrimenti direttamente a contatto con la soluzione nutritiva ( acqua + fertilizzanti disciolti in essa).
Tutto ciò si traduce in una maggiore efficienza e sviluppo della pianta, e quindi più produttività
Tuttavia non mancano gli aspetti negativi, primo tra tutti la difficoltà di approccio a questa tecnica che ne limita tantissimo la diffusione; inoltre, se sperimentata senza metodo e senza un costante controllo di tutti i parametri necessari alla sopravvivenza della pianta, può portare a pessimi risultati.
Per abbattere questa difficoltà, abbiamo realizzato una piattaforma digitale e uno strumento di analisi e controllo che sfrutta le ultime tecnologie IoT, in grado di automatizzare tutti i processi necessari alla crescita delle piante in acqua, trasformando qualsiasi impianto idroponico nuovo o già esistente in un sistema intelligente e connesso al proprio smartphone.
