FAR RED (NIR)
Can be used as a photosynthesis enhancer in combination with red light. Used after sunset it accelerates the night metabolism and sleep rhythm. Accelerates flower set and possibly shortens the night and lengthens the day for more photosynthesis (higher DLI).In the initial growth and flowering phase, plants can become taller. Conversely, plants can initially be kept very compact (far-red off) and when moving into the flowering phase (far-red on), the synergistic effect of the extra far-red can be exploited.
UV-A
Increases resistance to fungi and other pathogens. Increases the production of resin that brings out flavonoids and terpenes. Makes the plant stronger, healthier, shorter and increases root production. Leaves will turn a darker green due to increased pigmentation. Adds extra photons used in photosynthesis, resulting in higher yields.When combined with an additional UV-B component, UV-A helps protect against damage to DNA, proteins and nucleic acids in plant cells caused by UV-B. When UV-A and UV-B are combined in the right quantities and for the right duration, they have a synergistic stress-response effect that makes them even more powerful while being less damaging than UV-B alone.

Independent control of the NIR and UV-A channels allows the right amount of grow light to be mixed at any time during the growth cycle.
UV-A can be gradually increased as the plant progresses through the growth phase. NIR can be added during the flowering phase, to be used as a photosynthesis booster together with red.In addition, by adding NIR photons at the beginning of the night, the far-red phytochrome can be converted more quickly to its inactive red phytochrome form. As a result, the plant will 'fall asleep' faster, increasing photosynthesis during the day and improving metabolism at night.
