The most efficient LED lighting system for indoor growing
The second generation of the Q-Series has been developed to live up to Sanlight's reputation as a technological market leader in recent years. For you as a user, this means maximum flexibility with the best efficiency and usability available.
Each LED grow light in the Q series consists of one or more light modules. These light modules have implemented the latest Osram 2mm2 Chip technology , which enables the generation of an optimised broadband light spectrum with an efficacy of 2.7 µmol / J.
The secondary optics guide 95 per cent of all emitted photons directly into the growing area and also protect the LED chips from dust and dirt. Dirt can be easily removed and the light output is kept constant.
The optimised heat sink cools the LED chip to temperatures below 70 °C and connects the motor and power distribution.
The Q series models are designed so that the right solution is available for any mounting situation. For classic growing areas they offer an ECO solution or an EXPERT configuration. This means you can choose between maximum energy and cost efficiency or maximum output.
Options such as power boost or dimmer allow you to expand the performance range of your system or adapt it to new conditions. Every light in the Q series is prepared for this, READY-TO-DIM and READY-TO-BOOST.
Of course, the lights can be cascaded with each other. Several lights can be powered from one socket.
Every Q-Series light can be kept as good as new in a cost-effective and resource-conserving manner by simply replacing the light modules. They are upgradeable.

All Q-Series Gen2 models are ready to be dimmed. This means that lights can be retrofitted with a dimmer. This is simply inserted into the slot provided on the lamp.
M-Dimm
The simplest dimmer variant is the M-Dim. You connect the dimmer module to your light and can then dim each individual light via a magnetic switch. In addition, you can activate a sunrise simulation.
If you, as the owner of a Q Series Gen2 model, need more energy, e.g. because your growing conditions are changing (larger growth cabinet, etc.), an authorised SANlight dealer can increase the light. This means you get 10% more light.
Upgradeable
The lamp can be kept state-of-the-art with the possibility of an upgrade. Your official SANlight dealer can easily replace the light modules with the latest generation.

ECO Setup
When designing these setups, you will achieve the same output as the corresponding sodium vapour lamps while minimising energy consumption. A 600 W sodium vapour lamp on average emits about 840 μmol / s. An area of e.g. 1.44m² is therefore exposed to 580μmol / m² / s.
A SANlight Q4WL Gen2 emits 416 μmol / s. If 2 units are used on the same area (1.44m²), this system achieves an illumination density of 580 μmol / m² / s.You can expect the same yields with better quality and save around 50 per cent on energy costs. In terms of management, these systems are tolerant and easy, because the systems are not pushed to their limits.

Expert Setup
The focus here is clearly on maximising yield. Whereas with a 600 W sodium vapour lamp 840 μmol/s of photons illuminate your plants, with 2 Q5W units, a photon flux of 1025 μmol/s is generated.This means that the illumination density is 25% higher. However, even with the Expert setting, energy savings of around 35% can be calculated.With appropriate gardening skills, yields will be better both qualitatively and quantitatively. Intense light takes plants to their limits and requires proper management by the gardener. It is recommended to use this system with dimmers and only apply the full system performance in the last weeks.
