Dimlux Xplore Series Add-on 2x25W LED: Expand your light spectrum Expand your light spectrum with our matching UV-A and far-red add-ons. They come in 3 different UV-A, NIR or UV-A+NIR versions that can be used within a single configuration. Each add-on has its own unique spectrum. Each light has its own specific application, UV-A and NIR can be used together with separate timers for maximum effect. When simplicity is required, the UV-A+NIR combination luminaire is the best choice.
Why UV? UV wavelengths can change the colour, taste and smell of a plant. These changes in colour, taste and smell often make plants more attractive to humans, but more toxic to some insects. Plants with increased levels of these taste/odour compounds are less likely to be eaten by insects! Finally, UV light prevents the spread and severity of fungal spores.
Why Far Red (NIR)? Far red (NIR) can be used as a photosynthesis stimulant in combination with red light. When used after sunset, it accelerates nocturnal metabolism and sleep patterns. Far-red accelerates flower formation and possibly shortens the night and lengthens the day for more photosynthesis (higher DLI). In the early growth and flowering phase, plants can be grown taller. Conversely, plants may be kept very compact initially (far red off) and when moving into the flowering phase.

Warranty
3-year warranty: The first 2 years are covered by the full warranty. The third year covers only the hardware warranty. Labour, transport and other costs are excluded in the third year.
